Adam Nitti plays 911
Yeah, I know this is off topic but thought I'd take my chances. Mike Feinstein and I went to watch the Adam Nitti Group play tonight - sort of funky jazz - Mike knows the lingo better than I. Anyway, these guys were amazing and the tunes very complex! First time I've seen a six string bass (Adam below). His song "911" was pretty cool too. Now we just gotta find a way to convince him to sell the M3 and buy another Porsche.

Adam is a really nice guy and talented musician, I met him once when he visited here. I am on his email list and recieved the schedule of these current shows, unfortunately I'm a little far away. :(
Looks like he is leaning on a large dog or horse(?) |
Denis - that's the back of some blondes head. . . but I won't elaborate any further:eek:

Ditto on the show. Adam's group plays very progressive Jazz-Fusion. These guys are all virtuoso's to say the least. I could have easily been listening to the Al DiMiola band or, dare I say it, Return to Forever last night (that's a big compliment).
OK, to keep it on topic...Adam sold his 85 911 about a year ago and bought an M3. Still trying to woo him back into the fold. |
Thanks for coming, guys.
it sure was great to see my 911 buddies at the show. thanks for coming, guys. those pictures are cool. denis, you're killing me with the 'large horse' comment.
OK, i admit it... i do miss having a porsche. in fact, i'm already trying to think of ways to get another one. if i had my druthers, i wish i could keep my M3 as a daily driver and get a sweet 911 to use for my driving events car and the weekends. i still search ebay and the classifieds regularly drooling at the 993's and 930's and such. i'm just not in a position right now to move on any of these great deals i am seeing. it appears to be a buyer's market right now. the M3 crowd is definitely a different crowd, by the way. although there are a significant number of folks who work on their cars like i do and are true enthusiasts, the majority of posts appear to come from a contingent of young punks driving these things who don't know their a$$ from a fuel injector. the knowledge and dedication to the marque of the 911 crowd has always been impressive. also, the pelican bbs's value of content destroys the content of most of the M3 boards as a whole. maybe i could sell my 2002tii and put a down payment on a 993????????? |
