San Jose del Cabo / Cabo Mexico

Just wondering if anyone has been there lately.

A friend of mine and I are going to San Jose del Cabo at the end of the month & I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things/places to see and things to stay away from.

The friends we are renting the condo from have given us some good info...but we'll still take any more suggestions we can get.

Thanks, Sarah~

I've been told that San Jose is more quiet and layed back (which is where we'll be) but about 17 miles west is Cabo which is much more touristy. I'm just trying to decide if we should even venture over to Cabo or stick to our own area. I guess just down the beach from us is a surfing spot w/ beach bar so that will be nice. Neither of us know much Spanish so i'm not sure if that will be an issue for us too.

I also heard it is going to very HOT and hurricane season is starting....So maybe we'll just get to enjoy a few good storms from the balcony.

Yeah, if you want laid-back, stick to the east side of the peninsula. Cabo (San Lucas) is where all the night life is though (Cabo Wabo, Squid Roe, The Rio, Kokomo's, etc.). Basically ALL the spots on Marina Blvd. If you just want to relax and see the sights, the San Jose mission tours are pretty cool, and definitely check out Land's End. World-class sport fishing and scuba diving too. Have fun!

Eric..thanks. My friend is scuba certified so i'll let her know about that. The weather will probably determine a lot of what we end-up doing. It's nice to know our condo has a full kitchen w/ a blender just in case we're stuck inside for any of the days.
