Figure this out! (Puzzler)
There are two rooms. In one room is a single lightbulb in a lamp on a table. In the other room are three identical electrical switches. One switch operates the light in the other room. The other two switches are dead.
You must find out which of the three switches operates the light. You have no tools. You may go to the other room to check the light only one time in your quest to find the live switch. Well? |
turn the light off in the room with the switches, leave the door open, and then start flippin' :D
|
turn one switch 1 on for 3 minutes & turn it off.
turn switch 2 on go check bulb, if its warm its switch #1, on switch #2, off #3. |

Did you know; That was a common Microsoft interview question?
Unfortunately, for us, most all those guys who passed (that test) retired as multi-millionare, about 7 years ago. |
I thought the answer was Jean Paul Sartre...:)
|
Break the table in half, two halves make a whole, then you climb out through the hole... oh, wrong puzzle.

First you have rub your hands until they're sore. Then you use the saw to cut the table in half;) |
