Arapahoe Basin isn't the nicest place to be a beginner, is it? That was my "local" hill during the 90's while I was doing time in Golden. Killer spring skiing...

I believe the slope to the right and above mjohnson's head in the last pic is Thumper. That's the one that learned my a$$ a thing or two about skiing.

Wolf Creek was nice on the first timer though, lots of fresh power to cushion the blows. Even though there was loads of snow, it was nice to have the water of Pagosa Springs take the pain away. Great place.

Last time I skied I was 12 or 13 at our property in upstate NY, well the mountains our property is on are nothing like what is in CO.
