bigchillcar 06-11-2006 04:34 AM

joe..."little rock approach...you copy?" ;) hey, buddy..if you're on frequency..you never gave a poor former-lear driver an answer to your question: was it a model 31? i'll be so humiliated if i'm wrong.. :(
:D

Ryan,

Yes, its a 31 model Lear. The FMS and later style autopilot gives it away.

Who the ladies are would be a good guess but appears that someone had fun with a photo shoot!

bingo, joe. :) all my time is in model 23, 24, 25, 35 and 36xr's. no glass for this kid.. :(

damn, i miss the sonsa*****es..especially the 20 series. they were a true 'rocket ride'..vertical for a couple seconds before compressor knocking/flameout could getcha..but a friggin' blast. oh the stories we old 'freight dogs' could tell..know ya been there, too.. ;)

Ryan,

I flew almost all of the models while working at the factory and the early 20 series were a real rocket ship. Their problem was the fuel burn was very high and 2.5 hours you were really wanting to be on the ground.

I have flown a 60 model that was able to do 14,000 foot per minute climb rate for the first 10,000 feet. Thats better than the early F-4's and they had AB. so pretty nice climb rate when you think about it. Full FADEC and nice glass up front so not a bad ride and you can stay in the air 5.5 hours.

Oh well, back to girls...

joe..i was a gold seal flight instructor for some years before making the jump to the lears et al..gave a lot of thought to going to work at simuflite or pan am as a sim instructor before giving up the goat. i hear ya on the fuel burn on the 20-series..that was the nice thing about moving to the turbofanned 30-series. other than that i preferred the old 'bottle rocket' lears.. :)

Do not see any scars on that one, but would want to inspect it closer, with my teeth! :)

I would if I knew how, but I'm not up on that type of stuff, but it is a very cool high end car with wild paint, not another Flat Stanley pic or my beat up Toyota with 17" Porsche rims:cool:
