Since there was a bit of a theme earlier. Heard these three sirens yesterday on a pandora channel that I was listening to.

Her story is pretty cool too. In a serious accident that was so bad that she had to learn to walk and talk again. Music was a therapy or something to that extent. I think she's gotten the hang of it. The accident also left her permanently sensitive to bright light. If you went back fur enuff into the archives of that website You'd find a few papers authored by little ole me. I have 5 of the regular rotalign systems and 2 rotalign pro systems. Bought em in the late 90's and early 2000's .... Cost is about $30k each and another $5k or so per year for maintenance/calibration. Haven't found any reason to "upgrade" to the rotalign ultra yet. Here's the cases for the optional magnetic brackets: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1429551769.jpg Our typical alignment tolerance is under .002" offset and under .0015" angularity for 3600 rpm, tighter for higher RPM or closer couplings. It gets more complicated when allowing for thermal growth. A piece of paper is .004" thick. Oh and I have an optalign invisible beam system or two lying around, any offers? ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1429551828.jpg |
