April 19, 1942 — the freighter, Empire Dryden, was torpedoed and sunk by U-572 off of Oregon Inlet. One the same day The British freighter, Harpagon, was torpedoed and sunk by U-109 off of Cape Hatteras. She was loaded with planes, tanks, and over 2000 tons of explosives. 41 people died.

LOL How about the early '80s Snake Pit at Indy. Not the 'Disney-fied' marketing spectacle they have now. A month long beach party, patrolled by packs of state troopers, some on horseback, strip clubs bringing in flat bed trucks for their girls to dance on, drunk bikers hollering "SHOW US YOUR T!TS!" at any and all females, all a couple hundred yards from Penske's millions.

Looks like the Vietnamese version of the Supremes! I have a few friends who have seen this new documentary on early Cambodian rock groups. Everyone gives it a hearty thumbs up.....
