Follow the bouncing bear...

Did anyone see the news footage of the black bear that fell from a tree, hit a back yard trampolene (sp?) bounced akimbo about twenty feet in the air and hit the ground?

I hope the bear's okay, but oh man, it was hilarious!

Okay, more on the bear:

A trampolene (is this spelled correctly? I'm too lazy to look it up) was placed beneath the tree he was in before being tranquilized.

The idea was to knock the bear out and he'd bounce harmlessly on the trampolene. Alas, no one figured how much the bear weighed and that he'd bounce clear into the ozone.

Regardless, he landed unconscious and is doing well.

Sucks being a bear in the burbs.

For those who havn't see it, here's a video. http://www.komotv.com/qt/bouncing_bear.mpg

It's pretty funny, I still laugh everytime I see it.

Too funny.
It was on our local news. The anchors were having a hard time holding back the laughter.

THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES FOR THE VIDEO.

I laughed so much that I almost cried.

That bear went into the ground head first!http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gif http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/bear.gif http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...s/boldblue.gif http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...boldyellow.gif

I kept an eye out for it on the news after reading David's thread.

Hillarious! Even funnier when I imagined dd pronouncing trampolene the Homer Simpson way... "tram-am-polene!" :D

Our national news sometimes has amusing things stuck on the end and we got to see this last night too. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry but ended up laughing.
