I also saw (Scrolling news feed) that Sgt. Carter from Hogan's Heroes died yesterday. But wasn't he from Gomer Pile?

Larry Hovis died on the 9th. He appeared on 10 episodes of Gomer Pyle, but was best known as "Carter" the demolitions expert on Hogan's Heroes.
