In the US, we realized that industrial pollution was not a Good Thing,
Then why oh why won't you ratify the Kyoto Protocol? I don't like the "because developing nations don't have to, why should we" argument. |
GW isn't in the US....he's in Texas.

So would NZ ratify a treaty that cut in half the amount of wool produced . . .to give other wool-developing counties a chance to catch-up? After all, NZ has been producing a whole lot more wool, in the past, compared to these emerging wool-developing counties. Don't you think it's only fair that NZ start destroying sheep to make-up for their past high production of fine wool products? edit: I expect that senario (above) sound unacceptable. That is how the Kyoto agreement sounds to us. . . Developing countries want free reign to pollute, while the US is required to continue with our self imposed reductions in polution. . .how can that be a good agreement. |
did someone say sheep?

{sucks in deep breath to try and justify my argument}
Ah bugger it (no, not the sheep). I am not going to be able to convince you because I am barely convinced myself. Even from my usual high horse, this is a tough one. If I was in charge of the US, I would probably ratify and try and use it as leverage on the developing countries. It's a pretty big "if" though. (edit) Deleted moronic sentence |

Whats a Meurikin Nostotic.....? "Gw isn't in the Real USA".....that can be said of anyone living in CA.... "The Peoples Repblic of CA" People living in the CA perception of how it is in the Real world is skewed. Don't ask me why it is...but people in the rest of the country just don't think the way CA's do? It's like people from CA shop at Neiman Marcus and the rest of the country shops at K Mart... thats the attitude difference.

I didn't say GW wasn't in the *real* US. I realize that CA is "different". That's why I live. Here. That's why it is one of the largest economies in the world. That's why the rest of the country copies much of what CA does. I'm always glad to have someone leave the state. You have done your part to save CA. |
