I saw that & was kinda kicking myself cause I bought one of Harbor Freight's aluminum jacks for $150. Don't really care for the way it lets my car down, It's hard to do it slow. I'd be curious if the Craftsman mechinism works that much better. My Jack is 10lb lighter (35lb) so it has to be a different animal. Mike, how does your jack work under a load?

Well, I tested it's max lift potential when I jacked up the wife's Stupid Uglee Vehicle to get under and change the oil.....it's a two wheel drive version with a big block. Stoopid thang has an oil stream that shoots out and hits the cross over on the exhaust....that sucks.....

Anywhoooo, it lifted nicely....one or two pumps and it lifted the plate the five inches right to the frame, and then it took on the load.....lifted easily and let down nice and slow.

BTW...anyone kow of a valve that can redirect the oil stream? Makes a mess when it splashes on the cross over.....

Mike: you can use the Fumoto Oil valve...and if necessary the model which has the option of connecting a flexible tube over a nipple fitting.

Here's some more info.... Fumoto Oil Drain Valves

For the oil issue, try some aluminum foil. Use a couple feet of foil to direct the flow wherever you want and away from the exhaust. It's cheap and easy to dispose of.

Well, I drove all the way over to Sears today on your tip, but the price was $179.99, ($20 off), not $150.00.

And the warrantee is for 1 year.
