49 Split Window bug
Saw this split window bug today at the Santa Anita race track, they were having a BugStock trying to see if they could gather the most VW's in one place. The color was original, It's called mouse gray. Four fuses was all it had.

Buy them, sell them

Whoa! Doesn't Cornpanzer have a 10-second beetle, too?
I once missed a chance to buy a Baja Bug very cheaply. Fibreglass body, exposed engine in that steel cage etc. Big steel rims with boofy tyres and it went like a rocket. I could have had it for $500, but someone beat me to it. I still think about that little car. It would have been great fun!

Yeah racing VW's is fun but compared to drag racing my bug or racing my 911...drag racing isnt about turning or braking...
I should have started racing 911's years ago. In a typical drag racing year the average VW engine and trans is out often. The 911 seems a lot more rugged, it was designed for racing. I'd rather go 135mph every lap in my 911 than 110 for a second in my old VW. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The turbo plumbing on the white VW resembles antlers on a canary.
