Shady Transaction

Beware of doing business with Adam Roseneck in Canada. I purchased a pocket lid from him well over a month ago. After not having received it in over two weeks, his excuse was that he couldn't find the key to his mail box and consequently could not cash the check. He then, after many emails, stated he would send the lid without cashing the check. After a couple of more weeks, said he would send my money back the next day. I have received neither the check nor the lid. (week and a half later.) The latest email asked me if I would pay for the lid (the one I have not received) to be returned. You can judge this for yourself, but it is pretty obvious to anyone what is going on!

I purchased a very large ticket item (well over $700.00) from Adam (atr911). He shipped it out via USPS after receiving payment on November 6th. I waited and waited and waited.

Finally on December 2nd, I called the Post Office and was told the item was officially lost and to file a claim.

Frantic I emailed and called Adam. 15 minutes later the item showed up!

Was I worried? Not about Adam, but I was worried about the gorillas at the Post Office.

I am not saying you're wrong or Adam is right...but given the season...and the horribly slow shipping time from Canada...

I'd give it a little more time before you start throwing warnings around...

(edited for spelling)

Hi Shipibo,

I was wondering what your Pelican nickname was.

In Ships defense, it did take some time before I was able to pack up the part and send it to him. I believe it was two weeks after I cashed his check (had the check for a week before I was able to get to bank, so make that 3 weeks after received the check) before I was able to pack and send it the door lid (total sum of the transaction was $40 including shipping)

I ended up sending the package to Shipibo via regular Canada Post and it is claimed that it has to end up at ship's door. It was Nov.6 when I shipped the part. At the same time I shipped out another part for another pelican.

Ship, obviously quite enthouiastic about his new door lid, email'd me once every day or two to inform me of the status of his package (not there yet) and at some times he was understandablywas a tid bit overzealous ("Where the hell is my part?")

I knew that the other package hadn't arrived, that is was a busy season and that Canada Post wasn't the quickest bunnie in the forest when it comes to 'International' shippments.

Two days ago I recieved two emails, one from Ship reminding me yet again that the package that had left my hands was not yet in his hands and the other email from the Pelican who I had shipped parts to the other day. Pelican #2 was informing me that he had received his package (Yay for the Postal Service!)

I asked Ship to hold off one more week and if that parcel wasn't there that I'd return him his money (courrier with tracking # even). He then proceeded to inform you all of my shady activities.

I have to admit that I did tell him that I would send him a check to ease him off my back until his door lid arrives. I'm sorry Ship, I dropped the ball as I have told you a few times.

You told me that I had 2 days before you informed the board.

I don't wake up in the AM wondering who I can screw out of money that day, as i'm sure you don't wake up wondering who you can slander that day... As mentioned, I screw up, i'm still sorry and I will fix the issue.

The lid delivered or your money refunded.

I could send a check tommorow via canada post and you can wait 2 weeks for it to get there and then pay the shipping to return my door lid when it arrives at the same time (with a post marked NOV 6), or you can wait until Friday (the 17th I believe), I'll courrier a check with tracking # and faster delivery.

Take your pick and inform me either via email or on here.

Thank you to the Pelican who was so nice as to let me know that this post was here so I could atleast chime in and perhaps offer my side of the story.

My bad,
No excuses,
I'll do what I need to fix it (and have maintained that from the begining of the transaction)

FWIW Adam, even though it takes more time for the Post Office to deliver your parts...I would not hesitate to purchase from you again!

TY Jerry, you have mail about the potential next purchase btw :)

Adam
