they had a similar race in Topgear where the Stig raced against a Harrier for one lap around their test track..

the harrier was on the ground at the start, then took off, it didn't do any fancy cornering , it just made a really wide turn around the track and won , probably could have done 2 "laps" over the stig in his paganini roadster...
