Anyone know Pat Paternie?

I bought some parts from a gentleman who lives in Newport Beach, CA by that name. Super nice guy. I thought he might be a contractor.

Anyway, upon receiving my copy of the 911 Red Book from Pelican, I saw that a Patrick Paternie was the author. Same guy? His son, maybe? My Pat memtioned they had been around the cars for a loooong time.

Just curious.

Same guy, huh? Very unassuming sort, arrives in a market parking lot that was pre-arranged in his truck. Says he is working nearby, that's why I thought he might have been a contractor. Truck, job nearby, kinda makes up a profile. Shows to go ya.

You could have fooled me. Had a nice converstion with him about race cars. He never once mentioned anything about writing. I lost track of him, just another parts deal. I'm so ignorant. I could have met Jerry Seinfeld and not known who it was.

Anyway, thanks again, Pat, if you're reading.

For Christmas last year, my Father-in-law gave me a book by Patrick Paternie titled simply "Porsche 911". It's a great book. The Publisher is MBI Publishing.

With a beard? Not the fellow I met. This was a man in his late 30's or so, good looking big, trim muscular guy. I'm telling you, he looked like a sucessful contractor. Buff from working, but clean cut because he's the boss. I don't know what I'm saying here, but a lot of contactors that are running the show are a little more presentable than the labor that shows up. I don't mean to change the subject to contractors again, I just wonder if there are 2 Paterine's, father and son? Regardless, we all agree he's a nice guy.

It's the son, then. Or another Pat Paternie. What are the chances of that?
