this grossed me out today

ok

last night we had a minivan towed into the shop where I work at; I got to it around noon today, not gross yet huh

well I was working on it then I looked in the back.
the fcuking thing is a meat wagon. gurney, body bags, toe tags, weird smell the whole ****ting works man.

the worst part was when I went to check some voltages at the computer and, I found lying on the passenger side floor,, which just happens to be where the computer on a 1990 Mazda MPV is located!!! a pair of ether muddy or bloody rubber gloves. I did not stick around long enough to figure it out. I went to the owner and promptly refused to continue diagnosing the stinking death wagon!!!!

I would have at least Appreciated some sort of warning from the customer. I don't know why it bothered me so much . I guess I just don't like thinking about that kind of stuff. anyways the owner pulled the computer don't know if its gonna fix it till tomorrow yet but well see.

I just had to share this story

see ya

Kyle

PS if anyone here has ever had a Mazda MPV that ran very rich smoking allot, and would not rev over 2000 please tell me what the problem turned out to be.

You're right Paul, nothing worse than the smell of rotten flesh.

BlueSkyJaunte 12-23-2003 09:50 PM

Except burning human flesh. It smells like roast pork, and then you figure out what it is....

Gotta' Ritz? :D

Sounds like a good stress claim to me. :D

Seriously, I'd be having a talk with someone. That's indecent. Not to mention unhealthy. You don't know what kind of disease is in there.

a buddy of mine drove a mortuary van just out of high school. he would go allover picking up stiffs. he had to go to LA from here in No. Cal to pick up a guy, we refered to at the time as bernie (weekend @ bernies). we being 18 yo looking to get away piles five of us in the van for a road trip. drank beer all the way down (us not driver), got to LA all hammered. he throws us out on a corner near the death depot and picks bernie up. bernie's all in a body bag and thats it, no pine box or coffin. we stuff bernie over in the corner and cruz all over hollywood and other map to the stars locations. we had a rippen time, i think bernie did too. i ended up passing out next to his bag and slept for like 3 hours on the way home spooning a dead guy.

those were the days......

I believe in BOA - "Burn on Arrival."

Graveyards are a waste as well. I look at Forest Lawn Mortuary, and think "now why aren't there houses up there?"

juanbenae 12-24-2003 08:51 AM

forget about the houses,, why is there not a track there? if you think about it the cemetary is the final starting grid. all lined up waiting for the flag to drop,, gentlemen start your boxes....

years ago this 6'8 300+lbs guy living in our apts shot himself. I had the pleasure of finding him 3 days later. also had the pleasure of carrying him downstairs as he was so big. since I has carrying the lower side of the body bag going downstairs, I had some nasty body fluids dripping down my arm from the bag leaking. mmmm, tasty. nothing like the smell of 3 day old dead bloated bodies.

Years ago I knew this guy who trained as an EMT. He was called out to a mobile home in 100+ weather where a person had died "some time ago..."

He gets to the trailer, and finds the body - a woman, as I remember. But, for some reason, she had died while a portable heater was turned on...and placed atop her chest -- again, "days ago."

Hmmm...think of the smell, the goo, the sheer mouth-watering "blech" of it all.

the fun part about my experience besides looking around the doorway face to face into a basketball sized swollen purple head 1 1/2 ft away was throwing the bloody, stinking matteress (shot himself thru the heart) into my truck, driving up at the local Sonic for burgers, and watching the other patrons retching in their cars before we went to burn it on the levee. hehehe get your fun when and where you can!
