Amp recommendation please

I recently put Alpine 6 1/2" component 2-way speakers in my doors and I want to maximize their potential with a decent amp. The speakers are SPR-176A's with 50 watts rms (200 peak) rating. I'll probably put some speakers in rear deck eventually but want to hear how these sound with a good amp first. TIA

Talk to someone trustworthy in a reputable car audio shop - basically, you want an amp which really makes its rated power. There are a lot of brands out there which advertise 100000s of watts... through a 15 amp fuse.

The last amps I bought were Phoenix Gold ones - they came with a little birth certificate which said they made ~75WRMS (they were rated at 25W).

I get mid/low end audio stuff for the 911s because they're so noisy. I've got a 50Wx4 Sony under the pass. seat right now, and it's fine.

From that perpective, an amp with an integrated crossover is really a nice thing, to cut back the lows fed to small speakers, or if you ever add a sub. It cuts back on the wiring you have to do, and can save some space. My $0.02.
