Dubai, I"m definately gonna live in Dubai for a part of my life, that place is awesome.

Oops, I forgot to mention that we're in one of the worst droughts ever recorded! er... at the moment we're enduring Water Restrictions, which basically means we can't water the lawn or wash the car with a hose. :(

Ditto what Adam said about NZ, except without the drought (well, there is one in the South Island). It rains more here. Too much for my liking, in fact :( But probably less than Oregon! Temperature is mild.
But this summer has been great... day after day of 25-30 deg celcius. There is lots of room here and we have relatively high immigration, but anecdotally, immigrating is actually harder than you would expect - it works on a bizarre points system which punishes certain potentially exemplary citizens. I think it might be ageist, but having a job offer (or $1m) pretty much seals it. |
Cam and Adam,
Both NZ and AU are beautiful. I almost move to Melbourne in the early 90's working for AU Paper. Well, for a variety of reasons it fell through. Melbourne is just terrific and looks to be a great place to live. You guys are lucky but I'm sure you already know that! For me, Southern Oregon is pretty great. Just a long way from a track. I also really enjoyed my eight years in Southeast and Southcentral Alaska. Troy |
