Monster Garage 1.12.04

Did anyone watch it last night? It was a cool episode, but wow!!! How about those flames painted onto the front of the car. Im not one for a lot of “show”. I like the “clean” look personally. But man those flames would look cool on a the race car……

That's an awesome paint job on that Celica!!

motion 01-13-2004 12:14 PM

Hey Reese, what's with Strong Bad? That was hilarious! Did you do the art and Flash?

juanbenae 01-13-2004 01:39 PM

that my friends was a "hellica". good episode though.

did any of you guys read the article in car and driver about jesse this month? says he stole that skater scott hamiltons 930 from an ice capades (sp?) show a few years back. says he chopped it up and parted it out. they say in the article that they confirmed it with mr hamiltons company/management that in fact his porsche was stolen during an LA performance a few years back. here is a couple grains of salt for who ever needs em >> :

SpeedracerIndy 01-13-2004 01:40 PM

What did they do to the Celica? It looks like the inside is gutted, but otherwise stock.

Icemaster 01-13-2004 01:48 PM

I kinda liked the real flames after the first run...

juanbenae 01-13-2004 01:50 PM

they put a jet engine in it. got it up to 180 on a run way in so cal. i think the jet was from chopper/helicopter

UconnTim97 01-13-2004 02:00 PM

I don't think they said what the jet was in before, it came from one of the guys on the show.

turbo6bar 01-13-2004 02:16 PM

Jesse drives a black truck with the same flames. The first time I saw it on TV I was like Whoa!!! Way too nice to be called bling, for sure!

The jet engine had 6000 lbs of thrust. :)

BTW. I was a former instructor at the Installer Institute in DAB. I’m sure u heard of it. I'm sure we could chat for hours. I’ve been out of the industry for about 5 years, but still seem to get tech support calls. If u ever return to DAB, let me know!!!

That strong bad is pretty funny, what's with the BMW lighter?

vash 01-13-2004 07:37 PM

jesse james... just dont get me started. to late...i once watched a show on him. he was acting all bad ass and he was building some chopper. he did his signature, solid rear end. no suspension. he said, "real men dont need suspension". in my book, it doesnt matter how much power you have, if you cant get it to the pavement. all show no go. and i am going to get the car and driver. nice friggen paint job. that show, i love how people donate stuff FREEBIE! 4 22inch jesse james special wheels, with tires, FREEBIE! brand new jet motor, FREEBIE! lowrider kit. ..

CJFusco 01-14-2004 11:42 AM

It is important not to get a "one" that is not so cold....

DonDavis 01-15-2004 04:51 PM

Ah yes..... The properties of One. I once had a warm One, but that was in another country. Not in Strong Badia.
