Last year's pole was a 1:27.1. With the longer life engines and less rear down-force... wonder how the heck they're improving this much? Pole should be down around 1:24. Tires?

POST HIJACK!

Most of the races are soooo early in the morning (Pacific Standard time). Bummer, do you guys have TIVO or something?

Congrats to Derek!

It was a good season to watch with planty of action but mostly off the track.

Too bad I never selected 4 drivers or I may have won this thing. Who made these rules anyways?? :D

I'm already counting down the days to the '05 season. I'd like to try again next year. Maybe someone can organize something different.

there are nascar fantasy leagues, much like football and baseball. i am not recommending you play with rednecks or anything, but there may be a format there that you can apply.

I predict Minardi will finish last (if they have an engine contract) - not that they're incompetent; they just don't have the necessary budget - like me.

Ferrari is odds on favorite, but who's to say what the other teams come up with. In '04, McClaren and BMW were seen as early pre-season favorites. They got ripped early and often by Ferrari (of course) and Honda, a surprise contender. Renault was an early threat with a great chassis, but waited for an engine that never materialized to jump them up to the top eschelon.

With the exception of Schumacher/Barrachello and company, flip a coin.

MHO,
Sherwood
