While I too am offended by the Bush/Hitler photochop and the comparison between the two, I request that you refrain from personal attacks here.
There is no need to attack members here based on their political views or how they express them.

Similarities documented by partisans and convincing no one. This is a failed argument. Nobody is buying it except the faithful. Conversely, there were those on the right that actually thought Clinton had all those people killed in Arkansas.

As far as redneck racists supporting the right, the south used to be the strength of the Democratic party. Now the south is a strength for the GOP.

In reality, the democratic base is uneducated and poor, with a few full-of-themselves at the top, taking money from hard working people and tossing their base just enough to keep them voting their way - and poor, and uneducated.

The GOP is by and large middle class, hard working and is looking to elevate everyone, not just get people to minimum wage and keep them there.

If that's the case, then why are they so anti-labor; case in point, the new overtime regs passed just a couple weeks ago? Why are they so pro-outsource if they 'for the middle class'?

No, the GOP is the party of the rich and powerful; as such, the need to suppres the middle class in order to maximuze profit. They play the jingoistic 'kill the arabs' card to get the redneck vote, and the tax cut card to get the middle class vote, even though those voters don't really get the to share in the spoils - they just think they do.

Thom, Cher was speaking at a democratic organized get out the vote rally which by virtue of the small turnout shows that even some left-wing nitwits (present company excluded) have limited ability to reason. So while you may not consider her a leader, apparently higher-ups in the democrat party do. As for your second foolish sentence, how did hitler become a supporter of Republicans, ergo your continued appearance to be an un-informed, Anti-American, socialist idealogue.

Z-Man, Sorry. No intent to cause issues. But I think there are a number of people whith loved ones that died in europe to stop hitler who take great offense at the comparison of an American president to hitler, probably some Jewish folks also.
