this is funny - ok maybe this isn't fair
Quote from an "anonymous news source"
U.S. President George W. Bush seems to be aiming beyond his borders to keep on schedule with his nation's revitalized sense of "mission" or Manifest Destiny. "We will build new ships to carry man forward into the universe, to gain a new foothold on the moon and prepare for new journeys to the worlds beyond our own," Bush said as he announced a plan to increase government spending aimed at sending humans back to the moon as early as 2015. Sources close to the President were quick to downplay speculation that the arrest of a Chatham woman in a Las Vegas Casino this past week was related to recent American interests in the moon. Lisa Fulkerson, 32, a well-known business woman from Ontario was allegedly spotted by one of her former 'clients' while selling hand-lotion in the shopping area of the casino, and is now behind bars. She is accused of fraud, stemming from selling land plots on the moon. The FBI refused to comment when it was suggested that the scenario was just an excuse to arrest Fulkerson and remove her from the moon real estate playing field. President Bush, a former oilman, showed a marked enthusiasm for the moon's abundance of natural resources that could be exploited for uses such as rocket fuel, tank fuel, missile fuel, and jet fuel. An insider leaked information regarding an upcoming U.S. policy stating that if in fact Fulkerson's clients do plan on inhabiting their plots, U.S. Forces will promptly invade them on the grounds of "Remember that 'small step' thing? In '68? Well...'Finders keepers, losers weepers.'" |
