so I was hit by a saturn

he was in the right lane and tried to turn left, I was there and he hit me.
after changing information we parted.
now his insurance company says it wasn't his fault.
he said he was in my lane for 3 - 4 seconds and was going 10 mph!
how is that possible, I don't know.
Also I found it interesting that he claimed I hit the back part of his car, but that would have spun him out, and I would have damage on the front of my car not the side.
they estimate it at $3500
it will take 3 months to settle it now in arbitration.

if this a**hole gets away with this crap I am officially receding from the human race. I am so sick of liars, theifs, jerks, ect. I think if I lose the settlement I will sell off everything and move to a secluded place.

I hate people.

He was driving a Saturn. No brakes. No pickup. His car is leaking oil as we speak. The heater doesn't really heat. The A/C doesn't really cool. It does nothing well. He IS, however safe from having it stolen. The fact that he owns and drives one means he is ALREADY paying his Karma back for some earlier transgression. This accident and his lying will come back to haunt him.

His next car will be a SUV.

Did you wait for the police and get a report? Too many *****bags tell a different story once the incident is a few days past. Call the police next time (here's hoping there isn't a next time).

singpilot is right, these jerks lose out in the long run..that's why he's driving a POS saturn.

If he claimed you hit him in the back there should be some of your paint on the back of his car - any way of verifying this? It would shoot him down in flames...

Contrary to popular opinon, there are some honest folks still out there. A few years back my wife comes out of the store to find a note under her wiper apologizing for a ding in her car that also included the guys contact info. The ding was the size of a quarter. We meet the guy at a body shop and he drives up in an old VW bus. He pays the shop $350 for repair in cash, apologizes again for inconvenience, and drives into the sunset (were in California). WOW, what integrity.

Yeah, I had a similar thing happen about thirty years ago. I mean the dent soooooo small, it took me five minutes to find it. I took the nice guys $300 and have felt pretty sorry about it ever since.

I bet I bought a bunch of bad "parking lot dent" karma by taking that good mans money. Shoulda said thanks for the kindness, but keep your hard-earned.

But then I was but I punk at the time, yet to get the karma concept, and it WAS my almost new German built V6 Capri!

"To the owner of this car: A lot of people are watching me write this note and probably think I am writing down my name, phone number and insurance agent. I'm not."

The police being there doesnt always help.

Back in the day, my buddy and I were in his car with him driving. It was a dark and rainy night. As he made a left hand turn, I yelled..."lookout!" a white Dodge was coming right at us WITH ITS HEADLIGHTS OFF!!!

My friend punched the accellerator just in time for us to get hit on the rear quarter panel, as opposed to my door which would have probably killed me or crippled me.

Our car spun in a full 360 from the impact. We got out and sprinted over to the other car.... two fat f#king auto worker types stumbled out and started pouring Budweisers down the sewer. The F#ks were drinking and driving on a rainy night with their lights out.

Another car pulled up and this girl got out and started shouting at my friend. She accused HIM of running a red light from the opposite direction. WTF was this girl thinking? My buddy was turning left on a green....

When the police came, this fat chick told the same story....and the police filed it in the report. My buddys car was totalled.....the police did NOTHING to the drunk f$ks who were driving with their lights out.

Police dont do s--t....

Also, humanity is F--ked. Most people only look out for themselves, when it comes down to it....and will tell any story they can to get their way. Its sad, very sad....and very hard to be an honest person in a world of aholes.

Good luck.
