Hey guys would someone who has an account please run a vin for me. Its a truck my father sold and I'm trying to track it down.

the vin is JT4RN67P2H5058169

I would really appreciate it. thanks SmileWavy

$19, Geez.

david944 01-26-2004 04:36 PM

nevermind, got one allready from the toyota board.

I don't really have the money to open a useless account for one vehicle that i wanted to see where it ended up. If I had 19 bucks I'd buy a beetle oops I mean 911.SmileWavy

Not going to make any friends with that attitude dood. Better stick to the toyota board.

david944 01-26-2004 07:04 PM

I have dood, notice the four letter word next to my 944.

I really just thought I would get more help other than smart ass comments from my former Porsche family. Lord knows I 'm sorry, I've never seen anyone here ask for a carfax before  .

You have 4 vehicles but don't have the $19 to sign up for Carfax???

You must've gotten at least $19 when you sold the 944, right?

Getting huffy when others won't let you use their CarFax account is like being a complaining panhandler.

david944 01-27-2004 05:33 AM

the 19 bucks i got for the 944 went to my neighbor's 911. I bought him some floormats with lady bugs on them.

by the way, I got 4 e-mails from pelican members who sent me the carfax. I had allready got one from the toyota board before the first reaply on this thread. I guess some people in this world still know how to help someone out.

You mean like the getaway driver in a bank robbery... he's just helping out, right? Carfax is a business. They generate income by providing a service. You just got the service without providing the company the income. Illegal? Maybe not as the Carfax contract isn't 100% clear on this issue. Dishonest? Definitely.

guys, it was a simple question and topic. All I wanted to do was see where a truck ended up my father sold years back, and I did, thanks to some others.

I'm going to the local police station to turn myself in.

Thread is over.
