Anyone looking for a V8 Miata? 400hp Miata? Or T-88 FD RX7?
Ive several VERY nice cars for sale. I used to hang around this forum when my husband had his 914/6 but I havent been around for a long while, had to reregister.
Anyhoo...Ive got loads of hp for sale. A monster motorsports miata. A 400hp four cylinder miata, a 300crank hp miata that has won its class in SM2 for three years running AND it can hand a C5 vette on nitrous its backside...also a fully built motor, single turbo conversion T-88 3rd gen RX7, all daily driveable, all for sale at the moment. If you know someone looking for a lot of power, well sorted race cars that excell at Autocross, road AND drag....lemme know. Check cars here on pages 1-5. http://miata.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=412854&cat=5&val=1 Thanks so much, Jennifer OneFastMiata@insightbb.com or AIM = Mahatmablondie

Miata's are a hoot to drive!
One of the things I like about them on the street is that they are so underpowered, you can drive it really hard without committing a felony. A high-powered Miata is impressive, but is it still fun to drive? |

LOL.
Yes. Still fun to drive... in fact I would argue much more fun to drive. Fun X 1,000,000,000 Hey, If I can handle the torque and hp on the street and Im a "girl" surely all you gents can too. ![]() Now, as far as the felony thing goes....you're on your own there. You can go from 0- to felony in 5 seconds flat.

The reason I asked- I have two Porsches. A 911 with about nine lbs/hp, and a 944 (racecar) with closer to 15 lbs/hp.
For autocross or track duty, no comparison. The 911 is a beast. But the true capability of that car is not used in street driving. It would not be safe, or prudent, to drive the 911 anywhere close to the limits on public roads. The 944, however, is fun to push, without worry. As a driving instructor for a local autocross club, I have driven a turbo'd Miata. Very impressive car, no doubt. For a track toy, hard to beat. But I'm still not convinced it would put a smile on my face any quicker than a stock Miata when off the track. On the "girl" note, one of my good autocross friends has a shirt that says "I drive faster than boys". She does. |

Dont know what to tell you there. Ive had 6 miatas. Most I left bone stock and used them for Autocrossing. In 1999-2000 I got into forced induction in a big way and I must say that I will never look back. Having driven stock miatas quite often for a long time, and I love them stock, dont get me wrong....but to me there is no comparison. Its a charge everytime I drive...FI is a pure blast and each time I take it out, even to go to work it brings a smile to my face..even the most mundane of driving.
My husband is a driving intructor too and chair of the Evolution schools locally, and he LOVES the turbo cars X 10..he too came from racing stock miatas for many years. Remember also that not all turbo miatas are created equal. There are many variations. Not to sound pompas but I like to think of my cars as the pick of the litter in terms of turbo miatas and I have a fairly good reputation across the country for my race cars. So I cannot speak for what miatas you may have driven and their state of tune both under the hood and suspension wise.
