John Kerry, the american cousin
I learnt today that John Kerry, who is leading among the democrat candidates, is cousin with a well known french poltician (Brice Lalonde). He used to spend his vacations in France when he was young, and speaks french fluently.
Needless to say that this makes him my favorite candidate. I am delected in advance at the thought of him running this country , and sending back the texan to his ranch. Would not that be ironical ? I imagine that would give Bill O`Reilly four years of deep depression too ![]() So how would you guys feel about having a president with french roots and sympathy ? Aurel |

Vive la France!
You know, Kerry even looks a little bit French. Gaunt, I think. Ed |

If it'll mean Renaults are coming back to the states, snails won't replace buffalo wings, I'm all for him?
![]() But to not be too hasty, Aurel, I've heard Bush might have some French blood in him too. I think some research is in order.

I still think he looks like he's been embalmed.

John Kerry, President of France? That is an interesting prospect indeed!

![]() It is also true that expensive teeth withening treatments are very fashionable in the US, but like everything else. this is the land of extremes: you either have perfectly white teeth, or...no teeth at all. I do not think it has to do with the genes, but rather with the dental plans...Oh, wait a second, when I think about the teeth of the Brits, maybe there is a genetic component too ![]() Aurel |

I don't know: the Brits have by far worse teeth than the French. Hairy armpits I can stand; must be my "continental" upbringing.

Bill O'Reilly will never be depressed. He is too stupid for such sensitivity. After listening to him (for the first time) yesterday on a job, I think that he straddles the line of being a comedian, but not funny because of too much self-importance. Still funny in an unintentional way, though.
Kerry? He'll do I guess. His wife will make Hillary Clinton look like a typical First Lady, though. She's a biatch. Appreciate the wind-up, smiling robot Laura Bush while you can, folks. ![]()

up. I will always remember walking in those deserted streets, totally lost, when a car started to follow us...scary...but they helped us and took us to our guest house. Very kind peope who could have robbed us if they were in the mood. Yeah, I`ve seen some humanity. Quote:

Aurel likes Kerry? Man, if the word got out, that would cost Kerry in the polls...

Kerry is a communist. He wants anyone who works, and does well to pay for all his social(ist) programs. He made a pretense of publically throwing his war medals over the White House fence, and then what do you know, years later, the medals are hanging in his Senate office, and he says, Oh... those were someone else's medals that I threw for someone else. He supports the Iraq war, then denounces it.

I assume you prefer to see you tax money spent in preemtive wars against imaginary terrorist threats. Forget about health, education and retirement. All we need is a strong military, right ? But guess what: a strong military that is clueless of foreign cultures can do nothing in nation building.
Sending kids who do not speak one word of arabic in Iraq is a stupid waste of money and lives. And Bush is a communist too then: He wants to cut taxes and give money back to the low income famillies, and he wants to make the illegals who abuse the system legals. And even worse, now he wants to give money for the arts...Man, what a commie ! ![]() Aurel |

Aurel:
Actually, I agree with most of what you said. The Democrats are tax and spend, and the Republicans are borrow and spend. On the Iraqi war, getting Saddam out of power was good (unless your for the mass graves, torture chambers, rape rooms, etc. ), but its time to send the troops home, the same with Afganistan.

When I was in France, I honestly saw lots of hairy armpits. I don't remember teeth, but I do remember that they do not sell deodorant of any kind. But its because of their sophistication.

Last I heard the girls don't shave their pits until they reach "womanhood". But I'd suppose it depends on the region they're in as well.

I know you were going for the irony angle here, but come on, all you're gonna do is hurt the guy with stuff like this!! What's next - you gonna tell the world he loves poutine and then open a new scandal about what poutine really is? Tread lightly, the hapless democrats need all the help they can get these days. N'est ce pas? |
