a few things:
I stopped by the Pacific Porsche dealer on my way back home from Dunkle's show. I was talking to the sales guys, yadda yadda, and one of them told me that "2/3 of the Porsches ever made are still running vehicles". Pretty cool if you ask me, I want to believe it's true.
The forty yahre anniversay 996 is sweeeeet. Don't believe the hype when people say, "blah another 966". It's got alot of great upgrades, including rear fenders (wider), suspension, more ponies, et cetera. My favorite thing is the leather package it has. Go to your local porsche dealer and sit in the anniversary edition. grab the steeering wheel and enjoy. it's of magnificant quality. i asked how many they (pacific porsche) were getting out of the 1963 being made, he said 7 so far. i also saw a new cab turbo. ahhhh, that car has such beautiful lines. everytime i go to a porsche delaership i ask about the 997. most sales guys answer "nothing concrete about the changes, just rumors". as soon as i mention, "are they gonna cahgne the headlights back to 993 styling?", they almost always answer definitively yes. my conclusion: that's not a rumor. yes i am random. ![]() ![]() ![]()
