For Real Men Only
U boyz can fool around with cars all U like...but this is for the REAL MEN.... There is an old saying that you can tell what a man is about by 3 things...His Shoes, His Wife, and His House. Well this is about Houses. This is arguably the BEST HOME BUILDER IN LV. Even my Construction Defect Attorney owns one of these homes in Belacre. Take your time and go through the various Models and Slide shows. My Personal favorite Single Story is the Cezanne...thats the house I would own with some modifications, also the Monticello for a little smaller home is nice. For the 2 story home I think the Rothschild is the nicest. Pick your favorite and post your choich with some reasons why you like it the best. Lottey tickets will be on sale in the lobby. www.christopherhomes.com

real men build their own houses. ;)

tabs... who the hell would pay $600k for a 3 bedroom, 3000 sq ft home in Vegas? I thought it was supposed to be cheap out there, in order to endure the 120 degree summers. For that kind of money you could own a much nicer home in Corona, less than an hour from skiing or the beach. The shnizzle is out of control out there, me thinks.

Why are you soliciting business on this forum? My understanding is this kind of activity is prohibited. :(
|
for $600k, it better be in a 100+ acre tract
|
C'mon. Everyone knows the last real "man's house" was The Ponderosa.
Southfork Ranch was sort of "manly," but you had to throw out that sissy little brother, Bobby, first. |
Manly? I plan to buy a surplus missile silo, cover the entire surrounding property with bouncing betties, and secede from the Union.
|
$600k?? Hmmm, I got 3200 SF plus full-finished basement and 2 acres abutting a ski resort and 2 golf courses for close to 1/2 that ..... on the other hand, we don't have all that many discount buffets around here .....

Blue..I like your style...We have one man who did just that (except for the bouncing betties) down here and lives, if I remember correctly, 75 feet below ground. View is lousy, but A/C and heat are cheap!!!!
Tabs...I would really have to think about that kind of money for that size house. Mine is admittedly old, built in 1963, but has 10" thick burnt adobe walls, insulation, dual cooling, over 2500 square feet, in the 'burbs, and cost 1/6 of that. New homes here although admittedly made of sticks, styrofoam, chicken wire and spit sell for under $70 a square foot, and less than that the bigger the house. Economies of scale. We do have a builder that, for an additional 10 to 15k will build the entire house out of concrete block, eliminate wooden roof joists and replace with steel and guarantee heating/cooling costs at far less than a dollar a day. It would be interesting to break down the cost of materials for this builder's homes. |
I took a tour through the Titan Missile Museum and couldn't help feeling like a hobbit who'd returned home after a long journey. ;)

living in the bay area is like a friggen badge of honor. i dont think you can get a bunch of us together without a discussion on real estate coming up. that house in michigan is astounding. i love it. do you own the helicopter that took the photo? wow! Billypilgrim, that is the funniest ad that illustrates our lives. i wont even post a photo of my home, although it does have a one car garage, and i just recently had it painted. it is actually coming together. tabs, make us shutup and buy one of those houses. if not, you are only showing off nothing. no real man would do that, now would they?

Under $350. One of the most desireable locations in the county. All brick, completely custom interior. There are advantages to living in Michigan. ;) The photo doesn't show the entire lot either - it extends back quite a ways from the fence.
Of course, the helicopter view today would be completely white. Haven't been able to get the 911 out in 3 weeks ...... :( |
I told you boyz LV wasn't cheap anymore. Land is going for about 300K an acre. Christoper Homes will build a custom home starting at $115 a sq ft on your lot. Cost of building a nice custom is about $100 a sq ft here or in CA plus land. Houses here in LV are so close together that you can hear your neighbor flush in the mornining, and in some tracts you can actually hear him fire his missles from the silo.
Christopher homes are nice in that they sit on Golf Courses, and include a membership. BTW those developments that are on his website are nearly all sold out, mostly custom lot sites are left. Further if Christopher were to open a development up here in the NW part of LV, I think I would buy one. They would be cheaper up here. Remember it's location, location, location. The advantage of buying one of his homes is that your guarnteed a homogenous neighborhood, whereas if you built a clone on your own lot somewhere you can't guarntee that you won't wind up being behind a Walmart someday. What I liked about Tucson was how spread out the home were for the most part, but THERE IS NO GREEN. ****cula....La Cresta ....or Central Coast by Cambria are the places I'd seriously look at in CA. But for me it all depends on the finial outcome of my lawsuit???? Until then I can only look. And Christoper is the best so far. |
OH BTW: For U boyz in CA, if Arnold the Governator isn't successfull in floating his Bond Issue, ...CA might as well slide into the sea.
|
"remember its location, location, location"
Damn straight it is !!!! $300K an acre? someone is getting the royal a$$ f-in on that deal. I can think of few places I'd rather invest $300k. Vegas sucks http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...oilet_claw.gif |
