OT, digicam, pic posting prob.

Hopefully before it gets moved someone can help me. I just got a sony DSC-V1. When I move the pics to the computer, all images are called "DSCXXXXXX". When I check the size and type of image, it is called .jpg
When I try to post them here, it says that it won't allow it unless it's jpeg. What gives? I don't have photoshop to convert (if I have to) the images. I'm using XP. Is there any other way?

I love these toys but I guess I'm a technopeasant.

Thanks.

Is the file name listed as DSCXXXX.jpg? It may be a jpg file and not have the extension there. Just add the .jpg extension to the file and try again.

Make sure files are scaled down, less than 100kbyte in size and have ".jpg" extension.

they are ok in size, but initially they do not have the .jpg in the name. When I added .jpg by right click/rename, it didn't affect it at all... i'll try that again though. Is it really as simple as re-typing the name?
