I am going to be a Pimp!!
My grandparents have a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado that has been in a garage for at least 15-years, if not 20. I am considering getting it up and running as my pimp-mobile. Just the thought of a 8.2 ltr V-8 with 400HP with an 8-track player cracks me up. Do any of you have suggestions on what to put in my arsenal of "get up and running parts?"
Battery Plugs Wires Oil (among all the other fluids) Here is a picture of what it looks like (this is not the actual car, but ours is white on black) Also, I am looking at putting some stiffer springs and anti-sway bars for more rigidity. Do anyone know where to go for this? Thanks and wish me luck. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1076542704.gif |
Oh, it was running when it was last moved. It just hasn't been turned over since it was parked.

I'm sure my girlfriend is happy I don't have a car like that. That's an awesome ride!

I like it. A friend of mine has a 77 Cadi, that thing is enormous. I think I could fit my car in the trunk...lol

Sweeeet. My buddy has a '67 Caddy convertible and it's a great ride. I'm more for speed and he's a cruiser so it fits well. There is so much room in the engine compartment you can climb in and work on the car. I'd love to have one in my garage.

Awesome! :D I wish there were more of those things here in Australia.
Don't fix up the suspension at all! Part of the Cadillac mystique is to go flying around town, taking corners with wild oversteer and having those hubcaps fly off the car (one by one), just like in cheap Hollywood car chases. Ever seen Risky Business? You could nickname the car "Guido - The killer Pimp". Hell, if I owned one of those, I'd pimp it up, big-time! |
sweet, and dont mess with the ocean motion of the stock springs. nice. go slow getting it up and running, time is a mothereffer to a stored car. i know this well. but for some reason the big americans dont have that big a prob. i just pulled a 73 lincoln mark III outta long term sleep. 20+ years. (what is wrong with my stepdad? the 911 i got and this lincoln!) new battery, fluids, cleaned fuel system, and the thing started. the ex-UTEP coach, don haskins, actually auctioned it off for some fundraiser. the thing was cherry. but it did go through an extensive tuneup. go pimp go! crusin vessel!

Sell the coupe and buy a convertible if you really really want a pimpmobile.

not to mention the velour animal print interior, that would be truly pimpmobile
