Anybody know old Mustang values?
My next door neighbor has a '65 Mustang she's about to sell. It's a concours car - 289, auto, a/c, ps, pb, Pony interior. She's about to put it on the market asking $16K. I see values all over the place on ebay, Auto Trader and auction results. Any idea what such a car is really worth?

My next door neighbor has a very good friend that does Mustang and Corvette Restoration. He was in town for Barrett Jackson with an amazing 68 Mustang Conv. I'll get his info and find out what they say.

What body style is it?
Notchback..the most popular and thus common and least valuable Fastback... Convertible...almnost any convertible is worth 16K 2nd is it a GT, with the HiPo solid lifter 289? K code mtr. Probably not with the Auto trans. If it's a notchback 16K is stretching it. if a convert. it's cheap, and about right for a fastback. |
It's a notchback. I did a bit of research and came to the conclusion that $16K was high. She had a Mustang "expert" appraise the car and he told her not to take a penny less than $16K. I'm guessing she'll have a hard time selling until she gets down to $12-14K or less.
