unfixed, whenever I am filling up my tank in Avon,CT (very wealthy town), there is almost ALWAYS some huge Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7-series, or, worse, Caddilac Escalade, parked right in front of the convenience shop door, thereby blocking two entire gas pumps.

This one time I pulled in and there was a running Merc S-Class sitting there (I know, it would have been funny to move the thing myself), parked diagonally in front of the store's front doors, of course blocking the only two empty pumps at the station.

So, naturally, I just kept pulling forward until my front bumper was less than and inch from her driver's side door - I wasn't afraid of damaging the 944, it has those nifty rubber bumperettes. I was still a ways from the pump itself, but close enough to where I could pump my gas. Well, the middle-aged woman came out of the store with her gallon of milk, saw that she couldn't get in through her driver's side, and became rather red in the face.

"What do you think you're doing?!? I can't get into my car!"
"You do realize that's not a parking space, don't you?"
"I was only running in! Look at this, you could have damaged my car!"
"But I didn't."
"This is a Mercedes!"
"So? This is a Porsche."
at this point she became furious
"You better move your car before I call my husband."
"Go ahead, call your husband. I'll move my car when I finish pumping my gas."

She huffed and puffed and climbed into the passenger seat and skooted her way over. As she was leaving the parking lot, she peeled out (obviously out of anger) and almost hit an oncoming car.

When are people going to learn that money does not give one the right to do whatever they want?

cegerer...that was funny. my friends dad used to (or still does) transport large boats b/ the east/west coasts. When I first met her in college she told me her dad "drove truck" and I was like...what? She had to explain some of the lingo...but I found it interesting because I did not realize there was a trucker lingo..;)
