Would you use this Lic. Plate?
We finally rec'd our plates for the Touareg (almost three months to the day  ). Both the wife and I were raised in fairly strict religious environments, but neither of us practice any religion at this time. My reaction was fairly mild in that I was surprised that the CA DMV didn't filter the "666"'s out. However, my wife is very adamant that this plate will not go on the car.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1077951227.jpg We had been talking about getting a personalized plate, so after receiving this one and seeing her reaction, it was kind of a no brainer. Here's what I have ordered: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1077951583.jpg It's kind of a VW thing, but what do you think? I know our dealer will love it, especially since we have purchased four vehicles from them in less than three years. |
I've heard of the DMV filtering out swear words on license plates, but never numbers. I don't know: at least your "bedeviled" plate would be easy to remember - or at least half of it would be easy to remember. That'd be one reason to keep it :D
What's the second plate mean? |

That is pretty obtuse, I doubt that one person in 10,000 would be able to decipher it.
As for the 666, there are plenty who would love to have it, (Ozzy/Sabbath fans, etc.), I'm sure that you could auction it on ebay and get a different #. |
And here I was thinking the problem was with the FQA.
F***inA**... I must be getting old..... |
sing, you obviously don't listen to enough Judas Priest. We need to expand your musical horizons...
|
:) Between effen..Q..A and 666, that would be easy to remember!
I like the eBay Idea and can't believe I hadn't thought of that! I wonder how that would work? If I sold it and had the buyer show up at the DMV at the same time I pick up our plate, he/she could take it and register it right there? |
I don't know about Kahleeeforneeah, but in Nevada, if you had the plate's owners' permission, and BOTH of the plates, yes, you can re-register them. A lot of 'Blue Plates' in Nevada are 'sold' that way. The plates go with the person. I suspect that it might be with the car in Calif.

I wouldnt have a problem with that plate, its just numbers.

Man, I would have made it a FCKU666 !

Wouldn't accept it either.
666 is not welcome in my home! <>< |
As Obi Wan said: the Force can influence the weak minded.
Its only numbers. Any evil attached is in your mind. The wife & I were following a van one day which had a plate which read: CCM 069. I mused whether the driver sold bicycles. The wife shot back,"If he does, he won't scr*w you!" Les |

The local P-card dealer here in NoVa has a phone number that has a 666 in it. A conspiracy? (703.684.6660)
|
666????! Good grief, there's an entire telephone exchange in Westwood, NJ where all of the numbers are (201) 666-xxxx.
Get a grip. |
It's gonna happen sooner or later. But I don't plan on being here!!
