My motorcycle playhouse has begun

Step One: get rid of the dining room table. What the hell does a single guy need with one of those anyway?

Step Two: Racedeck alloy flooring

Step Three: Move the Italian beauties in

Steps Four: 42" plasma on the wall, black leather sofa, drop halogen lighting, surround sound speakers flush in the walls.

Step Five: Crank the races on Speed!

What this picture needs is a woman's touch... How about some doilies on the saddles or maybe some tole painting on the walls.

Yes, Aprilia RS250 two-stroke. She is sweeeeeeet! The ultimate track weapon (as long as the straights aren't too long).

Awwwwe man that is cool. A two stroker! You need any friends I assume track legal only? I have lusted for a two stroker road bike for years. Man you rule. Is the powerband smooth like the new MX bikes or is it of the light switch variety? Gotta be a ball.

Lose the carpet and go with a 16"x16" travertine floor. A good sealer and you're good to go. Then you can park bikes at random like throw pillows. Carpet sucks for bikes and besides, it does nothing for resale.

I'm partial to my fountains, Kim... see, I am in touch with my femine side, too

Lendaddy - Its a track only bike, yes. The power is non-existent below around 9,000 rpms, then comes on strong until 11,000. The street versions sold in Europe have much wider powerbands, though. I used to run a Yamaha TZ250 at Willow Springs back in the 80s. Now that thing had a lightswitch powerband. Only 750rpms wide. It was freakin wicked when it came on. It would trash GSXR1100s exiting corners on the power

dude, you are going to waste your carpet! i would be riding the crap outta that ducati. but i am just venting my jealousy. very nice. lose the overhead lighting, put in some track lighting that can highlight some of the tasty bike parts, (ohlin shocks), get the bikes into the middle of the room. put up a nice shelf with a pocketbike painted to match one of your real rides. ya need a poster or painting or two in there. nice!

I'm working on it! I have big plans...

Kind of reminds me of one of those Trading Spaces shows on TV, where they make over someone's room. Here's what the room looked like when the previous owners had the place:

Quite an improvement, I'd say!!

motion! you bought your house from martha stewart?

big improvement! one of my loft living buddies did the same thing. he bought one of the (is it mike hailwood?) ducatis replicas (the one they sold, sight unseen on the internet), and stuck it into the middle of the living room. very modern looking pad, bonus: he gets unlimited poon.

definately get a pocketbike!

Don't think I haven't thought of it, dude. How cool would that be? Just like Batman.

Cliff - the Mike Hailwood replica Ducati is an amazing piece of art... did you check it out? The machine work and aluminum are incredible!

motion, you and i think along the same lines. that hailwood rep bike is "pit in the stomach" nice. i love it. i was in college when they sold that thing so my, "mom, can i have this for Christmas?" question got me nowhere. i love ducati's. but one step at a time. car, then the bike. i wonder what happened to the guy that was going to sell his 911 for a 620 monster?

Motion, I sure hope you own and not rent. I can't tell you how many times, I have gone into apartments to find motorcycles being redone.
