I guess it's what's inside...
So today I went to lunch with some of my lawyer friends, and I drove my Honda (yes, my other car is a Civic). We often have these silly little discussions about who drives a better car -- they drive an S2000 and a WRX, respectively. Well, after lunch, we went out to the parking lot and he fired up his little S2000, and I just laughed out loud, because the little 200hp 4-banger in his sports car sounded exactly like the little 100hp 4-banger in my 16 year old 4-door family car.
But then, I guess, he got the last laugh -- it was a sunny day, and though we were all driving to the same place, the one relatively attractive female in the group decided to ride with him. <sigh> I don't know why I bothered sharing this, though it seems like there's an important principle here somewhere, and it just seems like this crowd would get a kick out of it, somehow. I don't see those S2000's too often here, but I happened to be driving alongside one the other day. I realize the performance is good and all that, but it looks like .... well .... a Honda. Same thing with the WRX for that matter .... it looks like ..... well ..... a Subaru for christ's sake! :D

You're right, there IS an important concept there somewhere.
What did she look like? |

I'd almost guarantee if you had a cab, she would have gone with you. |
The bio-sociology of sexual attraction is both fascinating and terrifying.

Who was discretely stuffing her with dollar bills in the front seat... and who cares?
A hand in the bush is worth two of the birds. Plow a field: use a hoe, or a tractor, depending on the situation. |
Eric, I'm sure you're right. The top down on a sunny day just can't be refused, I suppose. My next car will be a Targa. ;)
Moses -- I'll cast my vote on terrifying. :) John -- Dollar bills ... good call, I'll have to remember that for next time. <smirk> That's actually not at all a bad idea. |
