Devastating weather!

With all the news lately about the terrible weather and storms that have savaged the East Coast and other parts of the country, we shouldn't forget that Southern California has its share of devastating weather also.

I've attached a photo illustrating the excessive damage caused to a home by a vicious West Coast storm that passed through the Orange County area a couple of days ago.

It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take life for granted!

LOL :D

Lol, Moses! Good...

The Ritz Carlton down the street is a popular place for people to view our local destruction after a "Storm Watch 2004" event. Here's documented evidence of further damage. It should be obvious to even the most casual viewer the damage caused to these flowers.

(this photo was taken only minutes after the latest squall had departed the area)

All 3 of my cars got wet. Ruined 3 perfectly good car washes. Just took this pic after washing all 3.

The devastation continues....

Illegal aliens with driver's licenses, $15B bonds, $3 gas, assault rifles, plunging home values... that's just what we need now, another insurance crisis.

Taken just a few minutes ago:

Speaking of the Ritz Carlton.. reminds me of the summers I used to spend down there lifeguarding at salt creek. Big storms meant Big Waves.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1078277979.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1078277987.jpg

Motion,

The carnage in your garden was hard to see, but your patio too? I hope you have a good homeowners policy. If it's not too painful, post the estimates when you get them.

Damn the weather! Party at Motion's house! :)

pwd72s 03-03-2004 06:26 PM

You know I did hear they had a six inch rain in L.A. a couple of nights ago...The SouCal definition of six inch rain is that the drops leave marks on the patios...6" apart. Hey, we may have it a lot wetter up here in Oregon, but at least we don't have leftist local politicians issuing licenses for same sex "marriages". Oh! Wait a minute! Never mind...

oldE 03-04-2004 05:35 AM

Why do I get the feeling none of you guys owns a tractor with a snow blower mounted to clear your driveway? Oh well.. when early April comes, I'll still have piles of snow around and you guys will just have to do without. So there! (Great laughs though.)
