Wife event

so after a quick dealing with my cat.. where the cat had to be obedient

I tell the bride a recent thought,
"that if a guy can handle cats.. he can handle women.
What do you think ? "

she replys
"I wouldn't tell anybody your philosophy."

I didn't bother asking her why.

I think I missed something ?

Milt's wife here: You mean to say you "handle" the wife as in making her obedient? Yes, you may have missed something.

Because women and cats know better than that

She just didn't want you publicising your mistake to the world and having all the women and cats laughing at you behind your back.

He's lulling you into a false sense of security by obeying your orders My mother can get my cat to obey her instructions but only when he's in agreement with them.

The more I learn about cats, the more they surprise me. I've learned enough about women to know they will keep surprising me.

OK.. I guess I'm difficult to understand ?

but you comment,
"Because women and cats know better than that"
allows me to infer that if the cat can & should obey.. so should women..
Thanks.....

No, you're very clear but perhaps I wasn't as otherwise you would not have made the above inference.

I believe cats only obey their masters when they want to.

Women? Like cats, they do as they please.

Obedience, I expect it in a dog. It would be convenient in a cat.

I take it for granted from my cleaning lady. (rereading that phrase it seems very arrogant but it's appropriate as she's not the sharpest tool in the box and often needs very clear, plain instruction but she will then follow them to the letter)

In my life companion? I consider her my equal so I think obedience would be wholly inappropriate even as a concept.

Why don't you try asking some of your wife's girlfriends for their opinion?
I'm sure you'll hear some objective clarifications, possibly from your wife as well

Ron's cat is very obedient, I can confirm that.

Ron, I wouldn't extrapolate that to women.

ALL 3 of our cats, and my wife, obey me completely. All I have to say is, "Do what you want".

Cats and women can be very confusing. Both are totally independent, and generally only do what you'd like them to do if it happens to coincide with what they were planning on doing anyway. Thus, it can be very easy to confuse cats and women. However, to aid in distinguishing the two to avoid future embarrassment, I'll point out a few key differences:
1. Most cats walk on all fours. Most women (with the obvious exception of Bremelos and women from some places in northern Mississippi) walk only on their hind legs.
2. While women and cats both have very sharp claws, typically cats also possess very sharp teeth. Women, conversely, have relatively blunt teeth more suited for grinding your puny bones rather than tearing your flesh from said bones.
3. Cats, typically, are covered with hair all over their bodies. Again with the obvious exceptions of Bremelos and natives of some parts of Mississippi, most women only have hair in a few select regions. Both, however, are noted to spend many long hours washing and brushing their hair, so do not be confused by this trait.

I certainly hope that this little guide helps to keep you from making the same mistake in the future. Please let me know if I can provide any further assistance.

Dan

PS -- that's all totally tongue in cheek, just in case anyone couldn't tell.

What about women from France and Russia?
