Vegas Trip
I am planning on going to Vegas for 4th but debating on where to stay - Ballys vs. Paris - price is always a concern - its just a matter of do I want to lose money in the casino or on the hotel room. If I win - the Porsche is going to get some special long overdue treatment. I need some opinions and advice.

How old are you? If you're a 20-something hammerhead then stay at the Palms. If you're over 30 and plan on being sober more than 4 hours/day, stay at Mandalay Bay. If you're bringing a woman you really like, stay at the Bellagio.

I would be in the younger Porsche owners crowd. 23 years old but will be 24 the Vegas weekend I am planning. I will check out the Palms - thanks.

Moses nailed it. My wife has family in Vegas so we go a few times a year. Bellagio, Paris area are kind of central to the strip. Do you like roller coasters? If so, you HAVE to ride the one at NYNY and Nascar cafe. Have fun and play craps.

just did new years in vegas so i thought i would chime in..
for the money, i think that the suites at the venetian are pretty pimpy. if you want to party you:ll end up at palms anyways (ghost bar over rain btw). also, don:t forget drai:s afterhours at the barbary coast. doesn:t start till three, doesn:t end until mid afternoon. ice, just off the strip, can be entertaining as well with two large rooms and dry ice cannons that shoot at the dancefloor periodically (only in vegas). light bellagio on sundays is pretty good as well. good luck. db
