Multiple Ebay ID's and ID swapping
I've had a bid for a set of Fuchs on ebay for a few days and just went to check the auction. For now, I still have the high bid, but when looking at the bid list there was a retracted bid due to entering incorrect amount. I did a little investigating and found the bidder that retracted had changed his ID twice since Sept 03. Upon further investigation, it looks like thae person also operates under a second ID that has been changed 4 times since Dec 01. Why would someone do all the swapping and have 2 ID's?

I have one id to buy and another one to sell - the id for selling has been changed once to shorten the name and to make it easier to type - not sure if this applies to your query ... I'd review feedback because that stays with a person regardless of how many times their user id changes.

Mark, it sounds pretty fishy to me. Sounds like the guy is covering his tracks. Either way, I don't trust him. Give us names! I know I don't want to do business with a guy like that. This just shows the need to have some kind of voluntary list of individuals listing who not to do business with.

I just looked at the guy's ID's again. He has 9 bid retractions on one ID and 4 retractions on the other. Someting is wonky.

It's good to know which p-car guys are playing ebay-games like that. |
Probably uses the other ID(s) as a shill and/or to boost feedback rating. Look for one ID in the other's feedback profile, and vice versa.

Mark, You have been OUTBID!
How many freakin' Fuchs do you need, man? |
