sick to my stomach...
12 Marines killed in one fricking day?? Jesus. "Mission Accomplished".
I really don't have it in me to argue politics right now, so that's not why I made this post. I'm just really sad and feel like you guys are the only ones around me who understand. Got to leave for the evening, see you all later. :( |
yeah I just read about that too....
=( |
Yes. A horrible day, no doubt. The area is there Sunni (sp?) Triangle which has been troublesome throughout the entire war.
All that's clear is 30 Americans have been killed in three days. |
I don't know what the answer is but I'm with you over the remorse for these lost lives and of those left behind to suffer the pain of their loss. Sad times.

I remember seeing the last few days several scenarios for the 'Fallujia' problem. Some whimsical, some not.
1) Surround the city. Tell everyone that those not involved in the desecration of the 4 Americans will be allowed to leave thru the one checkpoint. Vet everyone that leaves (check against videos of the killings). After that flow subsides, tell everyone that is left that the city will be swept until the responsible are pointed out or identified and captured, jailed, and 'brought to justice'. 2) Install a remote driving control in a 2004 Black Surburban with Massachusetts or Maryland plates. Black out all the windows. Install as much ammonium phosphate, diesel, nails, nuts and bolts and one remote detonator as the vehicle will carry. Drive thru the center of town until the mob attacks the vehicle, like last time. Wait until as many as possible are around. Send them all to Allah. We're really good at improving on an idea that works.... show the Iraqis what a real Improvised Explosive Device can do. Repeat as necessary. 3) Surround the city. Send the Iraqi police force into the city to find the perps. Take devastating multiple RPG attacks on the defensive positions while the Iraqi Police are hiding in a mosque. Lose 30 coalition lives a day until the American populace says "Enough". I think plan 1) is what is running. I think plan 3) is what is going to happen. I wish plan 2) was what was being done. |

For some perspective; on average, we loose 100 US lives each day to auto accidents. Singpilot, Plan 2 -- brilliant! . ..though shouldn't that be "Rinse & Repeat as necessary." (?) ;) |
I told you BOYZ...level the place with everybody in it...that is the only thing an Arab understands...
I say FK em...this is Jihad...but the Liberal Dinks in this country would be aghast...so I am learning the Koran, growing my beard and putting a rag on my head for the day when Allah triumphs over the Great American Satan.... |

My sincerest sympathies to families of those who died. Those guys downthere are probably much more aware of situation than couch warriors like tabs. |
This is certainly turning out to be bush's vietnam.
Too bad he dodged serving over there or paying attention in his history classes or he could had saved tens of thousands of lives by not invading. As far as tabs' suggestion goes, I say the military should shoot a sidewinder into his trailer instead. |

it's a war, people die on both sides....for those in favour of the war shouldn't complain, as bad as it is for those families that have lost loved ones.... it's all a sacrifice , remember? to fight "terrorism" in the world and to kill the "evil doers" before they kill us...
350HP930, you're right, this war wasn't just from the very beginning. Too bad Bush is out campaigning during these sad times.....why isn't he out there saying $hit like "BRING THEM ON" or "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" guess what, though? Mission is NOT accomplished. way to go Bush, you're daddy would be damn proud. and don't forget to show the world all the WMDs you will find, reason for war in the first place.. |
Deliciously evil!
Put huge American flags on the sides, and add some 24" spinners for extra bling points. Quote:

Good one, Aurel. . . that would do it.

Man, Bin Laden would come out of his cave to take a shot at that truck.

Oh man, Aurel.... That was soooo perfect!
I was gonna remove you from hopelessly lost list, and then I read your second post........ So, you and Tabby are now on my watch carefully list! |
And since the communication infrastructure has been bombed and looted back to the 19th century, we could do the Suburban thing in every city for about a week until they finally catch on.
And then it would safe to drive a Suburban around in Iraq. Old Chinese proverb: "Cat who burns ass on hot stove doesn't sit on hot stove again. Doesn't sit on cold stove either." ;) |
That actually is the proof that it would work. You wouldn't even need to change cities. My bet is word would get around. Respect the Americans.
We know the Iraquis do not respect the Coalition troops because they feel they can attack with impunity. I would prefer they wonder if they will survive an attack. Once we are gone, they can go back to bombing the authorities. See what kind of human rights those authorities respect. |
