I have been cursed by the god of smallpox

This is just too good:

Some of you might have read about my Autotrader ad and the contact by a scammer here:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/157150-background-check-please-car-lot-shop-called-guest-autos.html

It's one of those deals where he sends you a fake check for more than he owes you, then you pay the balance to someone he supposedly owes.

I was yanking his chain, and gave my mailing address as the Sacramento branch office of the FBI. He replied :

>F-K U.
>
>tHANKS,

Now this was getting good, so I wrote:

>We are coming for you. Be prepared for jail time.

His latest reply:

>YOU ARE A FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL..
>KITIKPA MKPA GI THERE..FOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I was curious what exactly this means, so I typed "KITIKPA" into Google. One page reads:

In “The Sacrificial Egg” Chinua Achebe presents the conflict between an African civilization called Igbo and Westernization, specifically Europeans. The story focuses on Kitikpa, a god of smallpox, ravaging the people of Umuru as seen from the emptiness of the market named Nkwo and the story’s main character Julius Obi as he indirectly experiences the effects of the evil god (Votteler 14). Being of African descent Achebe believes that no African writer can betray his heritage (Landow). As the story progresses the effects of the Europeans coming into contact with the Igbo people unfolds as it is seen from the prosperous Nkwo market, the fear imposed by Kitikpa, and the emptiness Julius experiences.

Very voodoo.

So, in summary, you guys may want to stay away from the town of Davis for a while.

Tell him that Kitikpa is a personal friend of yours and doesn't appreciate you taking his name in vain. Then send him a blanket with small pox on it.

I'd maybe guess this guy is from Nigeria. I had a friend who is a Nigerian prince, he was telling me that the guy who came up with the whole Nigerian money scam made billions of dollars of it, and started a whole slew of copicat operations.

It's just a Yahoo account, and probably disposable, but it's:

Maybe Thom the PERL wiz, or someone else, can work something out... :D
