Finally got the taxes in the mail! I see that GW and his wife made their returns public...they even paid more than I did. I wonder why John Kerry and his wife refuse to make their returns public?

Interesting how the news contrasts the incomes and taxes paid by..the Bushes, the Cheneys, and Kerry in an attempt to make Kerry look the pauper. Got to get us unwashed masses to identify with him.

Meaningless without knowing what percentage of sales is outside the US (it is ~60%). Heinz-Wattie employs and produces plenty of product across Australasia, and we eat it all here too.

Anyway... regarding Kerry/Bush... Ive become so jaded to believe that at this point, neither of those guys knows what he is doing. But, they are good at making money.

From the way he talks, you would think he would bring all those jobs home and export ketchup. Why would profit matter? After all, the "rich" just don't pay enough. I wouldn't expect him to put his own money where his mouth is... .only mine.

Fint, you just keep on depending upon Mr. Bush's brilliant plan of reducing taxes for wealthy individuals and corporations to foster a sufficiently robust economy that work opens up for you. I'm sure everyone has been spending lavishly since 9/11, like he asked, and the positive effects of that should start being felt soon, now that it has been two and a half years.

And for those of you who still believe the remark above indicating that Senator Kerry has not disclosed his income or tax figures:

The Bushes' Adjusted Gross Income: $822,126
Taxes: $227,490

The Cheneys' AGI: $1,300,000
Tax: $253,067

The Kerrys' AGI: $395,338
Tax: $90,575

These figures are according to Associated Press. They suggest at least a couple of things to me. First, this tells me that Senator Kerry did disclose his income at tax liability. It also tells me that Dick Cheney, who we all admit is by far the sharpest tool in the White House shed, paid substantially less tax as a percentage of his AGI (20%) than did Mr. Bush (28%). George should have left those decisions to Laura, who appears to be head and shoulders brighter than hubby. Taller too, probably.

Oh and tabs, the Bushes and the Cheneys run in some fairly well-to-do circles. Lining the baskets of the already-wealthy is thought by most folks to have been perfected by the republicans, and the democrats are actually way behind in this area. That's the scuttlebutt I usually hear. They all have rich friends, but the money chasing the democrats around is nothing compared to the warchests of the "R's". Again, this seems to be the generally-accepted belief. Perhaps you know enough to dispute what others consider "the facts."

What you are NOT telling us, Super-Jim, is that John Kerry filed separately, inorder to play the tax shell-game.

We know you know better.

If you are going to make the jump that Cheney is smarter than Bush (based on $) then perhaps Mrs John Kerry is much smarter than her husband.

I'm smarter than Cheney, because I paid no taxes this year. Deductions from rental properties and new purchases absolutely demolished my paper income.

Gee supe, if you just read the previous posts you would see that we already recognize that little lie and, in fact, exposed it earlier in this thread....so you waste your time trying it again. It is amazing that the mainstream press would consider the average American stupid enough to fall for that. But then again, you thought we were stupid enough to.

Guess that would make your remarks about those "rich" Cheneys more appropriately to those "super rich" Kerrys.
