Porsche Advertising??

Does Porsche advertise on television? - Not that they need to but I have yet to see a commercial on TV - I have seen plenty of magazine ads for the Boxster but the 911 - never. I guess the name is so legendary that they don't need to. Have you seen anything??

Don`t you remember the guy driving a boxster who has to stop at a railroad crossing ? And the father who takes his daughter to school in the Posrche? Those are a few years old though, I haven`t see anything new lately.

They are on Speed quite a bit during races. I don't think their budget is too big for Lifetime.

You must be watching too much Playboy Channel.

There are lots of ads...here's a few off the top of my head:

* Old man wakes up from coma of 40 years, goes out for a spin in his silver 56 Speedster, comes across Silver Boxter on highway...Boxter passes him and both owners mouths open wide in amazement. (a personal favorite)

* Cayenne commercial where Cayenne and taxi cab are chasing each other (only seen this one once or twice).

* Guy and son at dinner table...son is making loud race-car noises with his model car... dad looks annoyed and says "son, how many times do I have to tell you...accellerate through the apex".

* Guy and his woman both make excuses to get out of a meeting.... jump into a Yellow Boxter and head out for a long weekend drive over a bridge with the top down.

Porsche sponsors major tennis tourneys... that's when you will see the most commercials

Milt said it...all the Porsche commercials are on speedvision. Most of the time Porsche sponsors the broadcast of a race, but there are no Porsches actually IN the race. It's terrible if you ask me...

A couple more story boards:

Young girl student misses the bus and dad has to take her to school in his 996. Next day she misses bus on purpose and sorta nods mischeviously, dad again drives her to school.

Three cars and three drivers out for a spin in the country when first car stirs up some tissue or paper of some sort. Next car passes the paper while in the air and third driver catches it mid air in his cab. At that point they all pass by one of those signs that says this portion of the road is cleaned up by the local Porsche club volunteers.

I think theres a little more subliminal message in the second one as there is some in all. It could be aerodynamics.
