Takes me back.

During our thesis defence reviews, which were Public, one of my colleagues was getting real stick from a Professor.....My colleague's father, who was present as these are Public Exams, decided to question the validity of the Profs comments.. a serious and candid demolition job of the Prof's comments and opinions was carried out in front of everyone....to which all the Prof could was ask 'Are you a Rocket Scientist or what?'

The answer, accompanied with a flourish of a business card from Rockwell was, 'Yes, I am'.

Surprisingly the guy got his degree, the Prof lost any semblance of respect and we all had a good laugh.

It still brings tears to my eyes....

Tell me about it. Down here in florida a mechanic is lucky to make 2/3rds of the shop rate.

A bunch of people of people I go boozing with are brain surgeons and nurses from the same dept, and they say "another beer please".

Brain surgeons are people who just spent longer at univerisity than the rest (most) of us and didn't mind studying just about every day of the year.
