I Love You Guys
Okay, I'd still buy any one of you a beer. You might have to promise to talk about cars exclusively, but I'd be happy to sit and chat. And some of you seem to me to be way off base, but at least you're thinking and you're brave enough to face the onslaught of public opinion (or at least Pelcan opinion, which is probably worse). The debates we're having here is what makes this country great, and strong, and I wish the entire country were as inclined toward discussing these issues as you guys. So, you get my respect. All of you except Glenn. You know, he once called me an "Independent?" To my face!

What is truly nice is to be able to echange opposing ideas without insults, and to work out the differences and understand the other opinions with respect. We all fail at it sometimes, and often feel so strongly about things that we cannot accept that any body else would not think like us. I suggest, when this happens, to use humor rather than insults. The few right wingers that I truly appreciate are the ones who know to be funny: Tabs, Island, Blue, just to name a few who come to mind. JP is funny too, in a lenghty sort of way...On the left side, they seem to be more relaxed all the time, so speeder, dd74, 350hp930, Superman, nostatic, woodpie...just keep the good work. This off topic section is a nice place that I would miss if it ever disappeared...or if I were to be banned.

Supe, you're the coolest. Can we sing kumbaya now, or do we have to wait until after we roast marshmallows?

I stay out of the debates because I feel ALL of America's problems are caused by your Jews looking after their brothers in Israel.
And yes, I love you guys too... |

all this touchy-feely crap is making me turn conservative. Where is my Rush Limbaugh genuine autographed oxycodone-and-pez dispenser? I feel an invasion coming on...
Bill, you really should quit dancing around the edges with your theories and get to the heart of your argument. |

sorry flint, but neither are as funny as the photo...mostly because Rummy and Rush are dead ringers for Moe and Larry.

You might be right there...certainly a resemblance...but the two I posted are IMHO a bit more accurate political satire..

When talking political satire...funny depends on which side of the bathroom door you are on.

Sorry, fint -- you know I agree more with your political leanings, and while yours are definitely (IMHO) more accurate, the three stooges (while wildly inaccurate) is funny as all git-out. I'm still giggling about it, even though I support both Bush and the war. Just goes to show that humor and politics are a silly mix.

Well to be honest I really thought this was my year. I am just grateful to the academy for the nomination and would like to give congrats to the winners, maybe next year ![]()

Man, I've even gone toe-to-toe with JP the odd time! What's a guy gotta do to get a nomination around here, change my avatar to Mother Theresa?
