Where do you get decent, free Palm software?

Any Palm junkies in here?

I just bought a near-new Palm Vx off a buddy of mine.

I've been looking around for programs for it and I'm sure I'll eventually get bored of this thing, so I don't really want to go buying (alright, I'm a cheap-ass!) software I'm not likely to use for very long.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Any "must-have" programs for these things?
