I like your selection of tile/stone. It makes it look rich. I have always liked elements of design, to creat a comfortable living space for myself. That is important to me. Your home is a reflection of your inner state of being.

I think it looks great. Hey, I furnished my first apartment on my own and all my dates/girlfriends would always ask (initially) who did the interior design, as if only a woman has an "eye". They'd pretty much expect guys to live on milk crates and a matress on the floor.

Very nice! I'm in the middle of remodeling to, it takes alot of your time. When you are done with different phases, the feeling of accomplishment is worth it.

Looks really good! The design stripe in the middle, did you have to cut the tiles for that yourself, or were they pre-made with the pattern? Either way it looks great.

Looks like a great job - the mosaic pattern is a nice break and looks rich. Did you get those tiles at Home Depot? They look familiar. I hope they (H.D.) didn't talk you into using mastic as the adhesive?

steve, the band was a pre-set home depot affair. it comes all glued to a mesh backing and you just set it into the thinset that has been applied to the wall (thinset is the material that holds the tile to wall). you have to kinda move the little tile around to get them exact, but its still way easier than setting all that small stuff.
thanks for the encourgment, that will help me get through another weekend in front of the tile saw. finish the shower walls and floor this weekend. as soon as i get the john and sink reset for guest to use i will step back for a couple weeks. then it's some QT with the car. i will post some of the floor and sink upon completion. by the way, no low flow toilet here! i have saved the old one and will get it refinished so i got a whole 5 gallons to take my prettys away. how much water is saved if you must flush 2X?

toby, my old roomies installed one of those low flo toilets with the bladder on the inside. that thing rocks. i have errr...tested it, and it rocks. it is like sending the packages on a white water raft, ....or rather....log ride.

im not chancin' it. im done with them i hit the lever. i hate the way the low flow use the explosive vacum method in lue of volume of water. scares the hell out of me during a mercy flush, i think i might go along on the log ride you speak of.....

Don't confuse a low flow toilet with a pressurized tank. Low flows don't save any money, you always have to flush multiple times to get it down. Pressurized tanks
