I was moving some things around today and came across my memorabilia box. Right on top was an Auto Trader from 1985. Leafing through it just made me want to cry!
Mid 60's Corvettes - $12K was the highest price I saw. Several were for sale between $8-10K. Early 911s for $7000. Like new. Austin Healey MK3000 $6000. 1958 Mercedes 190SL roadster $8000. On the flip side... '79 924 for $9000. 1984 Mazda RX-7 $12,000! Oh, to have my current net worth and a little foresight back then!!!

How to parley $4000 in 1974 into $4,000,000.00....Buy a 1957 Tessarossa, sell it in 1987 and buy a 5000 sq ft Tudor in Hancock Park, LA....
