Hmmm, novel idea...extra points for orginality....but wouldn't a small fridge do as well? Yea, yea, not as much fun...but I suspect with that "jet" burning away in the garage, it get's a bit warm.

He could have made a traditional gas refrigerator which has no moving parts and burn the propane to make the refrigerator work.
