carpenter bee infestation?
have any of you no cal, or even so cal guys noticed a population explosion of carpenter bees in your area? i have never seen a carpenter bee at my house and now there are about 40 of them in a couple different wood structures in my house. i live in the south bay and other people in my area have noticed the same thing. i have been battling them with raid and caulking the holes after i spray an inhabitted one. you guys?

The 2 most dreaded flying insects while growing up in S. Cal...the Carpenter Bee (no, they don't sing...but they do sting), and the tarantula hawk. I remember driving in E. San Diego and a tarantula hawk flew inside. It was a sight to see...brakes go on (screech!) and 2 guys boil out of the car (VW)...ah, the good ole days. I live in S. TX now, where do you begin.
